Project: Student Wellness and Belonging Center
An architectural intervention on the Georgia Tech Atlanta campus built to foster connections, friendships, common interests, and intersubjective communication, in an effort to combat the epidemic of loneliness. The increase of loneliness amongst the student body is directly linked to the increasing use of technology. The Student Wellness and Belonging Center proposal offers a variety of safe spaces to unplug and connect with fellow students. The main project is built above the Architecture East Building without bearing load, encompassing both indoor and outdoor program.

Student-made Mural:

The main facade of the project functions as an opportunity to involve the student body and truly make the building their own. A student mural fosters expression and creativity and allows for representation of the diverse student population.
The mural faces Tech Green, a popular gathering space on campus. As students walk by, they may see that any race, ethnicity, gender, and academic major belong and are valued at Georgia Tech.
